The article that I looked up was titled” Katrina Hits Gulf Coast Hard Census.” The article talked about what Katrina was, and the effects of Katrina. It was a very good article that I thought was credible. Katrina was a big storm that destroyed the gulf coast. Mostly every thing along the coast was ruined. It was a big disaster that no one expected to happen.Katrina killed many people. Because of Katrina, federal funding became very low. There was not enough money to rebuild the gulf coast. Many people lost their homes, health care, and also they were not able to get an education because the schools were trashed. Four years after Katrina hit their was not much change from the effects it had on the gulf coast. Still many of the homes and businesses in the gulf coast were messed up.The population in the gulf coast decreased by 17,000 people. Many people left because they were low income and couldn’t afford to stay in the gulf coast. Today people from Katrina have move to cities like Oakland, san Francisco, and other parts of the bay area. They still are adjusting to their new environment but are happy to live in nice cities
